Glynis Lee is an Australian artist specialising in printmaking and textiles with a focus on three-dimensional forms and installations.   Born and raised in Innisfail, North Queensland, Glynis has been based in Darwin since 1994.

Graduating from Charles Darwin University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts Honours (First class), Lee completed an internship as an editioning printmaker with Northern Editions printmaking studio and gallery in her final year. Lee continued as an editioning printmaker at Northern Editions until it’s temporary closure in December 2014. In May 2014, Lee completed her practice-based visual arts PhD.

Lee’s art work focuses on expressing diversity, cultural identity issues and representing the oscillating search for a sense of place on the borderlines of cultures, particularly for Australians with Chinese heritage. She is currently employed as a higher education tutor at Charles Darwin University, Darwin, Australia.
